1. Data We Collect
When you use Flush Shop, we collect:
- Account data: your name, email address, and hashed password.
- Purchase data: products you buy and order history.
- Usage data: pages visited, products viewed, and cart activity stored locally in your browser.
- Review data: ratings and reviews you submit for products.
We do not collect payment card details — all payments are processed securely by Paystack.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and improve the Flush Shop platform.
- To process your orders and deliver digital products.
- To send order confirmations and support communications.
- To show your order history and wishlist in your account.
- To prevent fraud and ensure platform security.
3. Cookies & Local Storage
We use browser localStorage and sessionStorage to:
- Keep you logged in with a secure JWT token.
- Remember your shopping cart between sessions.
- Save your wishlist and currency preference.
You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings or via the "Clear My Data" option in your account settings.
4. Data Sharing
- Paystack: payment processor — receives your email and payment details to process transactions.
- EmailJS / Resend: email delivery service — used to send order confirmations.
- We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third parties.
5. Your Rights
- Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correction: update your name or email in account settings.
- Deletion: request account and data deletion by emailing us.
- Portability: request your order history in a readable format.
6. Security
Your password is hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. All connections to our server use HTTPS when deployed. JWT tokens expire after 7 days for your protection.
